The University of Toronto is a large public research university with three distinct campuses: downtown St. George, Scarborough and Mississauga. Applicants choose a campus and admission category, not merely the university name.
This guide focuses mainly on St. George Arts & Science. Similar-looking programs across campuses or faculties may have different prerequisites, curricula and fees.

St. George, Toronto and the college system
St. George is woven into downtown Toronto, giving access to hospitals, museums, companies and community organisations while adding housing and commuting pressures.
Arts & Science colleges mainly provide advising, registrarial services, community and sometimes residence; they are generally not the student's academic major.
Arts & Science: programs of study and ROP
St. George Arts & Science students usually enter an admission category, complete first-year requirements and then enrol in a specialist, major and minor combination. Limited-enrolment programs may require specific courses and competitive grades.
The Research Opportunities Program lets eligible second- and third-year students join faculty research for course credit. Departmental projects, work-study and summer research provide other routes.
Choosing a campus and program
St. George · Arts & Science
Humanities, social sciences, life sciences, mathematical and physical sciences, computer science and commerce categories lead to a broad program network.
St. George · Professional Faculties
Engineering, Architecture, Music and Kinesiology have distinct prerequisites, supplements and fees.
UTSC
Scarborough runs its own degrees and programs, including many co-op options across business, computing, psychology and sciences.
UTM
Mississauga offers its own science, social science, humanities, business and communication programs in a more self-contained campus setting.
Applying to U of T from Türkiye
For applicants educated in Türkiye, the official minimum credential is the Lise Bitirme Diploması. Admission is competitive and program-based, with senior English and subject prerequisites varying by program.
Applications begin through OUAC and continue in the U of T portal. Many programs use academic results only; some require a supplemental application. Applicants who are not exempt must meet an approved English-language standard.

The official lookup lists CAD 66,110 for first-year international St. George Arts & Science. Using University College as an example, CAD 2,100.29 incidental fees and CAD 948 UHIP bring the total to CAD 69,158.29.

International student funding
Limited and competitive
U of T states that it cannot provide direct need-based financial aid to international students. Some admission awards are automatic; major awards such as Lester B. Pearson have separate, highly competitive processes.
Most awards do not cover the full cost and are not guaranteed. Build a multi-year plan for fees, living costs and currency risk independent of hoped-for work income.
