Two universities, one academic experience
The academic association between King's and Dalhousie lets Arts, Music and Science students draw on select courses at both universities. In eligible programs, students can graduate with combined degrees that carry the academic structure of both institutions.
Students in King's School of Journalism, Writing & Publishing can also consider options such as a minor or a second honours area through Dalhousie. The result brings together the experience of a small campus with the academic breadth of a larger research university.
Foundation Year Program
The Foundation Year Program is one of King's most distinctive academic experiences. It works through foundational texts — from the ancient world to contemporary thought — across history, philosophy, literature, politics, science and the arts, in an interdisciplinary way.
FYP is not simply an introductory course; it is a comprehensive program that shapes a student's first year through intensive reading, lecture, small-group discussion and academic writing.

Tuition information for international students
CAD 37,992 / year
This is the published, guaranteed annual tuition fee for new international undergraduate students beginning in September 2026. Ancillary fees and the international student health plan are not included in this amount.
According to the university, this tuition fee can be held at the same level for up to five years — covering the standard program length plus one additional year if needed.
2026/27 international tuition support
Up to CAD 12,000
This is the published tuition reduction for eligible, full-time, enrolled international undergraduate students in the 2026/27 academic year. It is stated to be applied automatically to the student's account following a successful visa process and course registration.
